Fracture is an annual magazine of emancipatory politics that explores the following themes: the severing of politics and social analysis, the concept of ‘modes of politics’ for historical research, an understanding of politics as sequential and rare, the concept of emancipatory politics more generally (what it means, what differentiates it from communism, etc.), and what this all means for contemporary organization.
Fracture is largely inspired by the theoretical and political interventions of Asad Haider, Sylvain Lazarus, Alain Badiou, Alessandro Russo, and others. We will also offer interpretations and translations of these figures and their work. We are interested in assessing and translating the work of political organizations that they participated in, such as the UCFml and l’Organisation politique in France.

Submissions
Fracture is open to submissions that address the themes listed above (whether for Issues or Interventions). We encourage submissions that deploy this framework of politics in relation to current events. We strongly encourage militants to write about their experiences and to explore how this way of thinking about politics can aid political organization. We are also looking for support with translating materials, and encourage those interested to reach out.
